Star Alliance is launching a new dedicated website for its customers in the UK as the organisation celebrates its 20th anniversary.
“This project has been a key priority for Star Alliance in this market.
“The alliance’s digital channels are fully aligned to meet the constantly changing needs of our customers and to deliver engaging, market relevant news and video based content via a site which is also mobile optimised,” said Julie Murphy, chair of the Star Alliance UK Steering Group.
“We would also like to express our thanks to all of our customers, members and the team that supported us throughout the extensive research programme leading up to the website launch.”
The research programme listened to the views and opinions of thousands of customers from across the travel sector including frequent flyer programme members, corporate travel managers, product managers and frontline travel agents, with the objective of gaining a clear understanding of their perception of Star Alliance, its products and services.
Star Alliance used these insights to identify what customers value most, leading to a clear content strategy with the customer in mind.
Key features of the new website include an illustration of how members of the frequent flyer programmes can earn and redeem miles across the world’s largest airline alliance.
The site also showcases key areas of the customer experience, such as lounge locations.
It also highlights Star Alliance facilities at Heathrow where all 24 Star Alliance carriers serving the airport are joined under one roof at the purpose-built Terminal 2.
