From my own experience, I know that when it comes to the internet, intelligent decision making requires the tracking activity of your business’ website.

The passionate groupie, who is good at reading body language, realizes you have no clue about his talk. Embarrassed, and a bit insulted, our indignant groupie mentions your powerful article “101 Ways to Polish Widgets,” from Mega-Widget magazine. It is then that you feel safe and change your demeanor. Get the picture?

Well, not tracking your website is like throwing a message in a bottle into the ocean; chances are you will not know who will find, or if it will found et all. But if you track activity of your nicely designed website, you can do intelligent decision making. If you realize that not many people are visiting, then you can do something about; perhaps begin to research what it takes to get the world to visit your website. Not only that, but by tracking the activity of your website, you can determine the level of interest of the various pages/products in your site. Armed with this knowledge, you can make changes, and track the results of those changes, eventually developing insightful strategies for generating business over the internet.
